With over 20% more power (over original Brushed motors) at peak RPM, this motor kit will provide a drastic increase in bottom end torque that pulls well into the bikes power range. Great kit and very well thought out. This gave my kid the confidence to ride her stacyc on Trails with a downslope that she would walk with the stock drum brake. You do need a means to bleed the brake since you have to disconnect the caliper from the hose to route it through the stacyc. so if you don’t work on bicycles with Shimano brakes the. You’ll likely have to take it to a shop to get it bled after Install. All that being said when my kid sizes up to the 16”stacyc, this will be going on before she even gets to swing a leg over it.
It’s a standard bicycle chain. A little shorter than normal but longer than what was needed for the 12” stacyc. You’ll need a chain breaker to install.
